Nestled into a beautiful strip of landscape with rolling hills and forests, Lake Wörthersee sparks a lot of yearning. With a length of 17 kilometres, Wörthersee is the largest Carinthian lake. The turquoise lake up to 27°C in summer invites you to take a refreshing dip and to enjoy the colourful mix of lifestyle and nature. From Moosburg, the Carinthian Lake Loop leads to Pörtschach and further along the north shore of Lake Wörthersee to Velden. You should enjoy a break on the waterfront here. In the eastern bay, Wörthersee is directly adjacent to the provincial capital Klagenfurt, which is worth a detour both culturally and historically.

On the Drau Cycle Path (R1), the Carinthian Lake Loop runs through the Rosental valley.
